Riku of Many Paths rewards you for casting modal spells β the "choose one," "choose two," and Spree cards that let you pick multiple effects. Every extra mode you choose fuels Riku's triggered ability: exile and play cards, pump Riku with +1/+1 counters and trample, or spit out flying Bird tokens.
Back him up with a spells-matter engine: Veyran and Storm-Kiln Artist double your magecraft triggers, Young Pyromancer and Talrand flood the board with tokens, and cost-reducers like Goblin Electromancer, Baral, and Stormcatch Mentor let you chain spells all turn. This is a golgari food and sacrifice deck that focuses on generating tokens and turning them into value and damage through sacrifice synergies. The deck can combo with Pitiless Plunderer and Cauldron Familiar with Witch's Oven for repeated triggers and resource loops. It plays a grindy game and scales well over time. However, it can struggle without its synergy pieces and is vulnerable to graveyard hate and board wipes. A resilient and value driven strategy that can overwhelm opponents over time
